Mrs. Demarious Murphy, eighty-one, of 50 South Second Avenue, widow of Eugene Murphy, died yesterday at her home, after a short illness. She was born in Kingston, a daughter of David P. and Mary E. Lane Short. She had lived in Mount Vernon for 25 years. Two sons, Chester Campbell of New Haven, Conn., and Harry Campbell of Staten Island, and a daughter, Mrs. Henry L. Hayes of Mount Vernon survive. She was a member of Community Church at the Circle. Funeral sevice will be conducted tomorrow night at 7:30 o’clock at the Burr Davis Mortuary by the Rev. carl S. Wesit, minister of Community Church. Interment will take place Monday in Woodstock Cemetery, Woodstock, N.Y.
