“ Nicholas Boehm, a weaver, died in 1767 in Douglas township, Berks, leaving a widow, Margaret, and seven small children. One son was probably George Beam, a weaver, of the same township, in 1781.”
Born Boehm, he changed the family’s last name to the more Americanised “Beam”.
