Marie Donahue Greenwell, 94, of Louisville, died Tuesday at Norton Suburban Hospital. She was born June 18, 1908, in Marion County, Ky. She was a former homemaker and a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Francis Donahue; three sons, James Donald, Joseph Nolan and Robert Paschal Donahue; her parents, James Clarence and Veronica Green Mattingly; and four brothers, Chester, Augustine, Edward and Charlie Mattingly. She is survived by her husband, Bert Greenwell; six sons, Leon and Billy Donahue, both of Louisville, Tommy and Randall Donahue, both of Loretto, Ky, Larry Donahue of Bardstown, Ky, and James Donahue of Indianapolis, IN; four daughters, Jane Durbin of Bardstown, Doris Gorman of Townsend, TN, and Linda Sullivan and Carol Tuttle, both of Lexington, Ky; 38 grandchildren; 18 stepgrandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Angela Stevens of Illinois. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2003, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Holy Cross, Ky. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday at Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto.
