Sister Jane Frances Donahue was born to John Webb Donahue, 1873-1946, and Frances Beatrice (Clark) Donahue, 1879-1959, in Holy Cross Parish, the oldest Catholic Parish in Kentucky.
Both of her parents were natives of Nelson County, Kentucky. Her seven siblings were: Mary Carolyn "Sister Rose Francis" Donahue, 1901-1977; N. Hubert Donahue, 1905-1939; John F. Donahue, 1908-1963; Fidelma "Sister Mary Beatrice" Donahaue, O.S.U., 1910-2006; Augustine Joseph "John Webster, Jr." Donahue, 1912-1912; Margaret, Sister Mary Camila, S. C. N." Donahue, xxxx-xxxx; Catherine Donahue, xxxx-xxxx; Adeline Donahue, xxxx-1949. Sister Jane Francis taught primary through high school grade in many places in Kentucky from 1921-1982.
