MOTHER OF ALBERT MERANDA SUCCUMBS - Mrs. Mary Meranda, 57, wife of John Meranda, died at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon at the home, 612 Montgomery Avenue, Ohio Falls. She was a native of New Haven, Ky., and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mattingly. Survivors besides the husband are a son, Albert Meranda, Jeffersonville attorney; a daughter, Mrs. James Clark, Jeffersonville; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Howard of Kokomo, and Mrs. Henry White, of Jeffersonville, and two brothers, Edward R. Mattingly of Jasper, Ala., and John Mattingly of Evansville. Last rites will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday at the home by the Rev. E. W. McIver, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, assisted by Rev. A. J. Oster, pastor Wesley Chapel M. E. Church, Ohio Falls. Burial will be at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.

MERANDA FUNERAL HELD - The last rites for Mrs. Mary E. Meranda of Ohio Falls were held at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the home, the Rev. E. W. McIver, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, assisted by Rev. A. J. Oster, pastor of Wesley Chapel M. E. Church officiating. Burial was at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.

JOHN MERANDA IS CLAIMED BY DEATH - John Meranda, father of Albert Meranda, Jeffersonville city attorney, died this morning, at 11:30 o'clock, at the Louisville General Hospital. Funeral arrangements will be completed at the Seabrook Chapel, 609 East Maple Street. Mr. Meranda is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. James Clark, of Clarksville.

RITES TOMORROW P.M. FOR JOHN MERANDA - Funeral services for John Meranda, 72, a retired employee of the American Car & Foundry Company, will be held tomorrow afternoon, at 2 o'clock, from the Seabrook Chapel, 609 East Maple Street, the Rev. Kenneth A. Neuber officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He made his home with a daughter, Mrs. James Clark, 124 East Montgomery Street, Clarksville. Mr. Meranda, a native of Indiana, had lived in the vicinity for many years. He died suddenly yesterday morning at 10:30 o'clock, following a heart attack, suffered at 3rd and Broadway, Louisville, after visiting an eye specialist for treatment. He expired before reaching the Louisville General Hospital. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the First Presbyterian Church. Besides his daughter, he is survived by a son, Albert Meranda, Jeffersonville city attorney.
