Flew B-17 bombing missions over Germany with the 8th US Air Force during WWII.

Enlisted in Army Air Corp July 31, 1942. 5’10”, 135 lbs., Blue eyes, Blonde hair, Light complexion, Scar on right side of forhead. Occupation: Pennsylvanie R.R., Penn Station, NY. Original place of residence was Forrest Hills, Queens, NY, updated to Los Angeles,, CA.
Loved animals, especially horses.
Boobie and is first wife owned 12-16 acres in El Canada, CA, but it had no water rights from the local government. You had to own stock in the water company and there were no shares to buy. Bill West of Woodstock, NY, visited Bobbie’s home in El Canada. He recalls Bobbie was not overly welcoming of family at first.
Bill West recalls that around 1935 or 1936, Bobbie Stark was visiting from the city and that Bobbie helped Bill pen a love letter to a girl that Bill had a crush on. Vera would sent Bobbie to the country so that she could go out and party with her friends. Bobbie wrote things like, “Your teeth are like pearls” and other corny lines to impress the girl. The letter was misplaced, and found by Bill’s father, Irwin, and Irwin’s cousin Theron. Bill said they made his life hell for weeks teasing him about the contents of the letter. “Bill, your teeth are like pearls.”
