Alfred Earl Triplett, 79, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, September 22, 2004, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was the former owner of the Convenient Food Mart in Hodgenville, a member of Masonic Lodge No. 624 in Custer, and a member of First Church of God in Elizabethtown. He was a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Katherine Triplett; his twin daughters, Diane Triplett and Delores Triplett; his parents, Alfred and Lillie (Oliver) Triplett; and a brother, Morris Triplett. Survivors include a son; Denny E. Triplett of Athens, Alabama; two sisters, Lillian Ward of Millington, Tennessee, and Ida Lena Bruner of Garfield; a brother, Jesse Alexander Triplett of Louisville; and two grandchildren, Marina and Juliet Triplett. The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday at Nelson-Edelen-Bennet funeral Home in Vine Grove with the Rev. Stewart Skaggs officiating. Burial will be in Custer Cemetery in Custer.
