Mrs. Henry J. Hamilton of Lebanon announces the engagement of her daughter, Miss Theresa Jane Hamilton, to Mr. Richard L. Peake of Louisville, son of Mrs. Boone Peake of New Haven and the late Mr. Peake. Miss Hamilton, daughter of the late Mr. Hamilton, is a graduate of St. Catherine Junior College, Springfield, KY. Mr. Peake attended the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. The wedding will take place at 9 a.m. October 8 in St. Augustine Church, Lebanon.


Theresa Jane Hamilton Peake, 91, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Baptist Health Louisville.

She was born June 20, 1927 in Lebanon, KY, daughter to the late Henry Hamilton and Sarah Medley Hamilton.

Theresa graduated from St. Catherines Jr. College, receiving her associates degree as a Medical Technician. She worked for the Veterans Administration, Dr. Coyle, & Danbury Hospital Pharmacy, and she was a professional bridge player in her spare time. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, where she volunteered in the church office for 15 years and was a proud member of the St. Al's Aces.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Richard L. "Dick" Peake and her brothers, James and Gerald Hamilton.

Theresa is survived by her children, Joseph R. Peake (Catherine), Sarah J. Scalzo and grandchildren, Zachary & Ashlynn Scalzo, Caitlin McGarvey (Justin), Lara & Tierney Peake and Catherine's children, Emily & Brian Sisk.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2018 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 1395 Girard Drive with a luncheon immediately following Mass. Theresa will be laid to rest next to her husband in St. Augustine Church Cemetery, 235 S. Spalding Avenue, Lebanon, KY with a graveside service at 3:30 p.m.
